John XXIII College in Perth

John XXIII College in Perth has teamed up with ActivePort to help manage its complex IT and Network environment. This is a school of more than 1700 students and staff, all with different access and security requirements, a duty of care to students and like most educational institutions, a pressure to perform on a tight budget.

“Having completed a successful proof of concept, ActivePort has been a welcomed addition to our ICT portfolio. In addition to immediate savings on our carriage costs via the “Scheduled Bandwidth On Demand” capability, we have been impressed with the ease at which we can provision online services. Such a task could typically take days or weeks with traditional methods” says Yugon Chobanoff (ICT Operations Manager) from John XXIII.

ActivePort is about helping customers manage their costs without cutting quality. This was the premise for the college to use the “single pane of glass” view to fine-tune their bandwidth on demand.

“We look forward to sharing some broader technology opportunities to John XXIII and other Catholic Schools in Western Australia and Nationally. In particular, we have just launched version 6.3 of the ActivePort software that provides industry leading SD-WAN capability as part of the ActivePort suite” said Mark Middleton, CTO at ActivePort.
